During and after installation

 Inspection of on-site installation and start-up

A typical installation consists of completion of setup, integration into the gas flow, and connection of supply and disposal lines. Working closely with our clients, we not only conduct an on-site close inspection of all the preliminary work, but we also support our clients when their installation is taken into operation for the first time.

 Support during start-up phase

After successful startup, gas being is processed through the plant for thermal utilization. Together with our clients, we will set-up a service schedule, where SILOXA service technicians will visit your plant to check performance parameters and make adjustments for optimization if necessary.

 Staff training

Using the installations documentation, SILOXA service technicians will train the plant’s operating staff. The training covers startup after planned interruptions, minor maintenance, and addressing small issues.

 Telephone support during installation and start-up

If issues arise, SILOXA provides telephone support, during agreed service hours, to the trained operating staffs. With our professional assistance, problems are quickly identified, diagnosed, and resolved.

Gas treatment plants are not only subject to specific regulations, but only a properly maintained plant can achieve high efficiency and operate with minimal risk.

Our recommendation is therefore professional maintenance, at regular intervals, as this will simplify working with regulatory authorities, trade associations, and TÜV. With correctly maintained records or logs, your plant inspections will become straightforward and hassle-free.

SILOXA offers two types of services agreement: a straight-forward maintenance contract, or our comprehensive all-inclusive service contract. The latter not only includes our standard maintenance services, but also our comprehensive maintenance services at regular intervals.

 Compressor maintenance

Depending on the manufacturer, ATEX regulations require that compressors undergo professional maintenance every two years, in order to maintain ATEX certification. Compressors can be serviced by SILOXA, either on-site at your plant, or in our service workshop. This is depending on the supplier as well as the size of the unit (including spare parts).

 Spare parts inventory

SILOXA offers plant operators specified inventory of customized spare parts packages, tailored to the specific wear and tear factors and lead times of their clients components. This ensures a quick response to components failures.

Legal requirements leak testing compliance: According to EU regulation 842/2006

Leakage Check: Conducted by certified personnel as per EC 303/2008

Mandatory Minimum Maintenance Intervals for Leak Testing: 
>3 kg of fluorinated greenhouse gases: at least once every 12 months 
>30 kg of fluorinated greenhouse gases: at least once every 6 months 
>300 kg of fluorinated greenhouse gases: at least once every 3 months 

Additional Maintenance: 
General functional check, Leakage test according to EU Regulation 842/2006, Blowing out the condensers (excluding chemical cleaning), Checking all pressures and temperatures, Checking motor power consumption, Checking refrigerant and oil levels, Creating measurement and testing records

Tube bundle heat exchanger, demister, and condensate trap 
Visual inspection of metal casing, trace heating, and insulation for damage.  Repair of any damage. Check the tube bundle heat exchanger, demister, and condensate trap for possible contamination, blockages, and corrosion (excluding cleaning). 

Detailed maintenance instructions are included in the documentation for each new plant delivery.  All performed maintenance is documented in the maintenance logbook, to ensure that compliance with the warranty commitments is upheld with proper and professional maintenance.

Packing column 
Visual inspection of the metal casing, trace heating, and insulation for damage. Repair of any damage. Check the packing column and condensate removal system for contamination, blockages, and corrosion (excluding cleaning).

Control system 
Inspection of the control system according to VDMA Standard Sheet 24186 Part 4. Check control components, sensors, and regulators for wear and improper handling.

Gas heating and filter 
General visual inspection of flange connections, valves, and temperature indicators for damage and corrosion. Flange connections are additionally checked for leakage.

Compressor 
Inspect drive components, tension of V-belts, electrical cables, and housing for damage. Perform oil change in bearing housings according to operation and maintenance manuals. Check alignment and fastening. V-belts, bearings, seals, and bearing housings must be replaced every two years (maximum maintenance interval).

Gas Sensors 
Functional check of gas sensors according to the manufacturer's specifications. Document the testing in the inspection report. The detailed maintenance instructions are included in the documentation related to the delivered plant. The performed maintenance is documented in the maintenance logbook and ensures that the agreed warranty commitments are upheld with proper and professional maintenance.

Adsorption Dryer 

  • Documentation of operating and process parameters: Record measurements from resistance thermometers, pressure sensors, dew point sensors, and limit switches before and after maintenance to verify compliance with process parameters at a defined time.
  • Visual inspection of adsorption dryer for damage: perform a general check for damage and promptly repair minor issues. Inspect and adjust end limit switches if necessary. Check the heating and condensate removal system for leaks and blockages.
