SILOXA GRW: Effective gas conditioning

The GRW product range was designed to effectively remove organic silicon compounds (siloxanes) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from digester gases.

GRW - effective gas cleaning for silicon compounds (siloxanes)

The GRW conditioning systems are designed to effectively remove organic silicon compounds (siloxanes) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from digester gases. They utilize SILOXA’s MAKA activated carbon filters, which are designed as exchangeable filters in a deposit system, allowing for quick and clean filter changes.

Our GRW systems are not only effective, but also widely adopted, as siloxanes in digester gases can lead to increased engine wear, and also to severe engine damage in CHPs without filtration. These units are delivered fully assembled, piped, and wired on a stainless steel frame and are suitable for ground-level installation. All gas-contacting parts are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

Why choose the GRW:

  • Integrated shell and tube heat exchanger to reduce gas moisture
  • Use of standardized MAKA exchangeable filters
  • Quick exchange service
  • System mounted on a corrosion-resistant stainless steel frame
  • Modular design with upgrade options

Our GRW is available in four different models

SILOXA's GRW gas conditioning systems are available in four different models. Our MAKA activated carbon filters are used as exchange filters within a deposit system, allowing for quick and clean, complete filter replacements.

The GRW range uses our propriety carbon replacement filter exchange system, making replacements quick, easy, and clean. Replacement can be carried out by operating staff, or by a Siloxa technician. By providing the exchange filters in advance, replacements can take place as soon as they are required.

Good to know

What type of activated carbon do I need for my plant?

Based on a simple gas analysis, we establish the right solution for the efficient operation of your gas plant. Benefit from our experience and obtain a free consultation today!

Why does SILOXA prefer to discuss activated carbon in liters and not in kg?

Our market-leading activated carbon filters, have a maximum filling capacity in liters. To ensure your filter is always at optimal performance, our  high-quality activated carbon is measured and delivered in liters, not kilograms. The same applies for filters supplied by other manufacturers.

Why is high-quality activated carbon so light?

The lower the specific weight of activated carbon (in g/l or kg/m³), the higher the pore volume of the activated carbon. A high pore volume means a lager contact surface, which leads to better purification. High pore volume is a quality characteristic of high-quality activated carbon.
