A Legacy of Innovation
SILOXA’s legacy of innovation began with the pioneering gas cleaning system implemented at the Cologne-Rodenkirchen sewage works in 2000. This system was instrumental in enabling Stadtwerke Köln to launch Europe’s first fuel-cell combined heat and power plant powered by sewage gas. Our 'total cleaning' technology was pivotal in making fuel cells viable for energy production from biogenic gases, setting a new benchmark for sustainability in energy generation. We remain dedicated to innovation through ongoing research and development, such as collaborating with partners in advanced carbonic acid fermentation and improving activated carbon regeneration for higher sulfur loads.
