Our product range for effective
gas conditioning

We offer three market-leading, compatible gas conditioning solutions: GRW, GKV, and GCKV. These installations removes unwanted components like H2S, siloxanes, and VOCs from biogenic gases, reduces harmful water vapor content, and prepares the gas for later use, such as in gas engines.

Achieve efficient gas cleaning with SILOXA, through optimal conditioning of biogas, sewage gas, and landfill gas

Our gas conditioning systems are optimized combination units consisting of various components such as biogas coolers, gas compressors, heat exchangers, and/or activated carbon filters.

  • Our GRW product range is designed to effectively clean organic silicon compounds (siloxanes) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from digester gases.
  • The space-saving GKV series cool, dry, and compress the resulting gas for use in combined heat and power plants (CHP) and are suitable for permanent installation.
  • The mobile and weather-proof GCKV is an integrated, containerized solution for gas engines, which also dries and compresses biogenic gases

GRW - effective gas cleaning for silicon compounds (siloxanes)

The GRW pre-treat systems are designed to effectively remove organic silicon compounds (siloxanes) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from digester gases. They utilize SILOXA’s MAKA activated carbon filters, which are designed as exchangeable filters in a deposit system, allowing for quick and clean filter changes.

Our GRW systems are not only effective, but also widely adopted, as siloxanes in digester gases can lead to increased engine wear, and also to severe engine damage in CHPs without filtration. These units are delivered fully assembled, piped, and wired on a stainless steel frame and are suitable for ground-level installation. All gas-contacting parts are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

Reasons for choosing the GRW

  • Integrated shell and tube heat exchanger to reduce gas moisture
  • Use of standardized MAKA exchangeable filters
  • Quick exchange service
  • System mounted on a corrosion-resistant stainless steel frame
  • Modular design with upgrade options

GCKV - gas transport containers for drying and compressing biogenic gases

The GCKV is a central supply unit for gas engines, which combines all the necessary control and functional units for gas drying and compression, into one weatherproof container. It efficiently prepares gas for combined heat and power plants, satellite CHP units, biogas clusters, and micro gas grids. Components included in the system are for instance a gas cooler, condensate separator, cold brine circuit, cold water set, and a compressor. For water vapor removal, the system also features a condensation drying unit with shell and tube heat exchanger and cooling unit.

The GCKV is available in 12 sizes ranging from 180 to 2100 Nm³/h, and to ensure there is a suitable solution for every biogenic gas plant, custom variations are also available upon request.

Central gas treatment reduces investment, simplifies planning, guarantees operational reliability, and saves on maintenance. The factory assembly is completely performed by our own technicians.

What makes the GCKV unique?

  • Complete supply unit for gas pre-treatment in one container
  • All components are designed for optimal efficiency
  • High availability  ensures operational reliability of the entire system
  • Secure investment with retrofit options and available maintenance contracts

GKV - Drying and compression of biogenic gases

The GKV gas conditioning system is a reliable supply unit for gas engines, mounted on a sturdy frame. It combines all essential elements for gas pre-treatment, thus preparing gas for combined heat and power plants, satellite CHP units, biogas clusters, and micro gas grids.

For water vapor separation, the GKV features a condensation drying unit with shell and tube heat exchanger and cooling unit. An integrated centrifugal blower, with frequency control and temperature monitoring, ensures flexible gas pressure boosting.

The compact unit includes a gas drying and gas compression module, offering defined interfaces to digesters and gas utilization systems. For custom installations, components can also be delivered separately upon request.

The GKV in detail:

  • Complete supply unit for gas pre-treatment, mounted on a single frame
  • All components designed for optimal efficiency
  • High availability ensures operational reliability of the entire system
  • Secure investment with retrofit options and available maintenance contracts

Good to know

What type of activated carbon do I need for my plant?

Based on a simple gas analysis, we establish the right solution for the efficient operation of your gas plant. Benefit from our experience and obtain a free consultation today!

Why does SILOXA prefer to discuss activated carbon in liters and not in kg?

Our market-leading activated carbon filters, have a maximum filling capacity in liters. To ensure your filter is always at optimal performance, our  high-quality activated carbon is measured and delivered in liters, not kilograms. The same applies for filters supplied by other manufacturers.

Why is high-quality activated carbon so light?

The lower the specific weight of activated carbon (in g/l or kg/m³), the higher the pore volume of the activated carbon. A high pore volume means a lager contact surface, which leads to better purification. High pore volume is a quality characteristic of high-quality activated carbon.
